Remember the hand rankings without memorising a script

A no-stakes learning method for remembering common Teen Patti hand categories without claiming a guaranteed strategy.

Use categories and examples—not “winning tricks”—to learn the common hand order.

Group the combinations

Think of the top three as repeated rank, same-suit run, then any-suit run: Trail/Trio, Pure Sequence, Sequence. Then remember same suit without a run (Colour), matching pair (Pair), and everything else (High Card).

Make sample hands

Write down example hands on paper and sort them into categories. Use three cards with the same rank for a Trail; consecutive ranks in one suit for a Pure Sequence; and two matching ranks plus a third card for a Pair. Do not assume ace-low order or tie-breaks: those can depend on house rules.

Practice explaining the category

For each hand, name the pattern and then check the table's rulebook. This reinforces understanding better than treating a label as a prediction about an opponent.

Variation warning

Muflis/low-hand formats, jokers and app-specific modes can change the ranking. Review our variation guide and full reference. This learning exercise is for no-stakes entertainment, not a system for financial gain.
